Let the children come to me, do not stop them, because the kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these -- Matthew 19:14

The House Of Handprints, What Cheer, Iowa

explored by: Casper

...this time I got a better view of everything that was left behind. Furniture, old canned foods floating nastily in their jars, paperwork from the farm, bank statements for a women who’s address was in Fairfield *about 40 minutes South*, dishes, appliances, shampoo, clothes, and upstairs, a child’s bedroom filled with toys and clothes, and even her bed. Pictures were everywhere, and on the wall is a picture hanging with two kid size hand prints with the writing, “Let the Children come to me…. Man 19:13 & 14.” The school it was at, Rosehill, has been closed for a very long time.......

After we left I looked at my husband and said, “I’m never going back there.” I have kept my word on that. I still pass it by sometimes, but each time I do, I get the shakes. The bad thing is… No one knows what happened to the people who lived in this house. No one recognized their names. It’s like they just never existed..." --Casper
