Spooky
old El Paso High School is one of the oldest buildings- and most infamous 'haunted'
spots- in my hometown of El Paso, Texas; it looms eerily on a
rocky mountainside overlooking the U.S.-Mexican border, and it's
ghostly legend has been around for decades...

El Paso High by the light of day
Most
of the stories seem to revolve around a spurned and/or
heartbroken young El Paso High student who took her own life
inside of the school in a final, savage act of desperation
(perhaps around 30 years ago) According to legend, the girl slit
her wrists and then jumped off of a balcony, the entrance of
which is now closed off to the public. The hallway to the balcony has
been walled off. In the area of the balcony many people have reported
seeing unexplained mist and fog, as well as seeing a strange, viscous
substance on the ceiling...

The sounds of sobbing have been reported even when there is no
explanation to be found for them. People have also claimed to feel cold
spots and to have seen a ghostly young girl, dressed in clothing of a
bygone era, crying forlornly in the hallways.

eclipse... and a cluster of 'orbs'- one of which is glowing
brightly- which was shot outside of the reputedly haunted old
high school late one night (close-up of glowing orb, above

While there doesn't seem to be much official record regarding
the truth behind the rumors and legends, the stories of El Paso
High being notoriously haunted have persisted for decades.
